This film depicts challenges of a small team led by Shibazaki, a land surveyor, to reach the summit of Mt. Tsurugidake in order to complete a map of Japan in 1907, based on a novel by Jiro Nitta. Blocked by blizzards, avalanches, and other dangerous phenomena, can the team reach the top of Tsurugidake?
